Presentation of the ADDISPACE project

ADDISPACE is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through Interreg Sudoe Programme. 2014-2020

The aim of this project was to create a virtual platform (www.addispace.eu) to connect and encourage collaboration between SMEs, technology centres and universities, specifically in the field of Metal Additive Manufacturing (MAF) for aeronautics and aerospace.

The project is divided into five main sections

    • Disseminate of Technologies and Opportunities

Publishing a catalogue of technology offerings, and promoting entrepreneurial opportunities.

    • Demonstration:

Carrying out 4 manufacturing pilots (example below) and assessing their technical, economic and environmental viability compared with traditional methods.

    • Technology transfer:

Organisation of 3 practical workshops and 3 scientific conferences for knowledge transfer.

    • Training:

Implementation of 7 pilot sessions in specialised initial and continuing training.

    • Sustainability:

Development of a roadmap with policy and strategic recommendations to ensure the sustainability and future development of the Additive Manufacturing platform and technologies.

Example : Ribbed aero part TA6V

    Material : Titanium Ti-6Al-4V

Technology: DED Wire Arc - CMT

    Printing time : 2h10min

    Gains :

    • Reduction in Buy to Fly ratio from 14 to 5
    • Reduction in delivery time
