Presentation of the Indus-Addi project: Industrialising Additive Manufacturing processes

The ANR Indus-Addi project ended in 2023 after 3 years of collaboration with SIGMA Clermont on the industrialisation of additive manufacturing.

The aim of the Indus-Addi project was to formalise and optimise the additive manufacturing process in order to make it faster and less costly, while overcoming the challenges associated with industrialisation, cost reduction and human/process interaction. The aim was to contribute to the industrial development of these processes, whether in subcontracting or in the creation of new products, by establishing a suitable economic model with specific performance indicators.

The work carried out, in particular with Ricardo Viola (a SIGMA doctoral student) working on the Addimadour platform, has led to major advances in the parameters to be taken into account when manufacturing large WAAM parts.

Cross-disciplinary research has also provided valuable information and recommendations on risk management, as well as on the establishment of safety and HSE rules to improve the adaptation of workstations.
