The Cognirob project is a collaborative project funded by the NAEN Euroregion (Nouvelle-Aquitaine Euskadi Navarre), involving the Compositadour Robotics Cluster , IDEKO Research Center and Aldakin.

Together, we worked to develop an intelligent, secure and easy-to-use robotic cell for machining safe and easy to use.

IDEKO and ALDAKIN have developed a machining spindle equipped with an internal dust extraction system, which is crucial for operator safety and production quality, given the harmful nature of these particles.

For our part, having developed in previous editions of collaborative projects in the Euroregion a solution for real-time correction of a robot's trajectory using an OptiTrack vision system, we have continued to explore the possibilities offered by this system by developing a connected communicating pointer.

This device has a number of functions, including : The ability to control the robot remotely, increasing flexibility and ease of use

  • The ability to define trajectories (positions, orientations, speeds), without teach pendant, and to simulate/validate them in real time. This drastically reduces programming times.

In addition, we demonstrated how the use of a communicating pointer combined with HoloLens glasses could offer a better monitoring experience during simulations. In fact, this combination makes it possible to observe live and in mixed reality a simulation of the trajectory that the robot is about to take, and so anticipate any problems of collision, singularity and inaccessibility.
