BAMCO

The BAMCO (BAmboo long fibre reinforced biobased Matrix COmposites) project was launched in 2019 in partnership with Expleo Group, Arkema, COBRATEX SAS, SPECIFIC POLYMERS, CIRIMAT et MECANO ID.

 

The objectives of this union were : 

  • design new bio-based technical composites based on long bamboo fibres. 
  • to offer interesting prospects for reducing the environmental footprint, while retaining lightweight properties and high-performance strength.

 

One of the applications studied was the replacement of fibreglass on aeronautical cabin fittings.

Compositadour has developed 100% automated processes for using these materials to produce mass-produced parts at competitive costs.

In addition to the aeronautical sector, the materials we work with offer interesting prospects for other sectors of activity, particularly sports and leisure.
